We’ve been working very hard on a great new feature that we believe will bring new life to the Forums section. This new feature is the JustCircuit ListServ and it gives our users the ability to subscribe to our forums and receive updates via email. It also allows you to respond or sent new messages to the ListServ via email and have those messages reflected in our forums.
This next installment in our “HOW TO” series describes how to signup for this free new service, how to use it and how to control when messages are delivered.
Signing up for the JustCircuit ListServ is extremely easy. If you’re not already a registered user of JustCircuit.com you will need to register to take part in our forums. Simply click the Register link (pictured below) just under the top navigation bar and follow the registration wizard.

Registered users must be logged onto the website. Once you’re logged on navigate to the Forums section by selecting the Forums link on the top navigation bar (pictured below).

Next select the General Discussion message forum.

From the General Discussion forum view select the checkbox next to “Click to subscribe to this forum.”

Once you select the checkbox you will notice that it changes to “You are subscribed to this forum. Click to unsubscribe.”. Congratulations you’ve just subscribed to the forum and will start to receive updates via email. The default delivery setting to receive messages as soon as they are posted to the site. You can modify how frequently receive emails by changing your email delivery options (below).
Users no longer interested in receiving emails can simply uncheck the box and we will no longer send messages.
Changing Email Delivery Options
Once you’ve subscribed to receive forum updates via email you may modify your email delivery options. Modifying your email subscription type allows to you to change if and when emails are delivered, you can select from 4 options: Disabled, Instant, Daily Digest and Weekly Digest.
• Disabled will disable email updates. This is the same as unsubscribing.
• Instant will send messages immediately after they are posted to the site.
• Daily Digest will deliver a single message daily containing all new messages.
• Weekly Digest will deliver a single weekly message containing all new updates.
To change Email deliver options navigate to the Forums section of JustCircuit.com then select My Profile just under the top navigation menu.

From the profile window select the My Preferences tab then click the Subscription Type dropdown to configure your email delivery setting. Once you have made your configuration change click the Save button.

Users who wish to stop receiving messages from the JustCircuit ListServ can set their Subscription Type to Disabled or they can click the “You are subscribed to this forum. Click to unsubscribe.” checkbox from the General Discussion forum view.
Using the ListServ
Once you’ve subscribed to the JustCircuit ListServ using it is extremely easy. Users can interact with our forums in several ways. You can login to JustCircuit.com to read, post and reply to messages directly on our website or you can read, post and reply via email.
Posting and replying to messages are the same as any other message. Simply compose email from any email client. On the to line type JC-ListServ (at) JustCircuit.com, title, type your message and send. Please note the email address listed has been modified to keep SPAM spiders from copying it. Remove extra spaces and replace (at) with @.
Replying to threads is just as simple. Click the Reply button, type your response remove any previous email thread or history and click send. When replying to messages there are 2 important rules, which should be followed:
• When replying to messages ALWAYS remove all thread history (previous message contents) prior to sending.
• NEVER modify the message subject. Modifying the message subject will cause the forums to create a new message thread rather then replying an exiting thread.
Simple Posting Guidelines
JustCircuit is an information portal and as such we would like to keep the flow of information free and unencumbered. In order to help us do we have ask that you follow these simple guidelines when posting:
• Keep in mind that this is a public forum.
• Unfounded lies and slander will not be tolerated.
• Keep your discussions civil.
• Event and Self-promotion is fine, but do not SPAM the forum. Post your upcoming event information once.
Occasional updates are permitted, however if we see you sending updates weekly and/or daily we will take action.
Users who can’t abide by these rules will be blocked from posting publically.
