In this “HOW TO” article we will discuss the steps necessary to create and modify entries in our online Events Calendar.  We’ll also tell you how to upload your event flier, which can be displayed along with your entry.

If you’re not already a registered user of JustCircuit.com you will need to register in order to add events to our calendar.  Simply click the Register link (pictured below) just under the top navigation bar and follow the registration wizard.

Click Register

Registered users must be logged onto the website.  Once you’re logged on navigate to the Events section by selecting the Events link on the top navigation bar.

To Add Events
Scroll to the bottom left-hand corner of the calendar and click the plus sign (+).

Click the plus (+) sign to add a new event.

You’ll be presented with the Edit Event wizard.  Fill out the form completely.  When posting your event, please be sure to include text descriptions of your event to include times, places, DJs and any poster or flier graphics you choose.  This will ensure you get maximum exposure, which translates into higher attendance at your parties.

Edit Event Wizard

You can add images to your event listing by clicking the Insert/Edit Image button in the event editor Window.

Insert\Edit Image

Click the Browse Server Button

Browse Server

Choose the User Files folder
Choose the Event Images folder
Select the Browse Button

Browse

Browse your computer to find the file you want to upload and click Open or OK.
Then Select Upload New File

Upload New File

One the file is uploaded, select it from the list of files on the server.  Then click OK to close the Image Properties window.  You image should now be inserted into your event listing.

Finish filling out the Edit Event wizard and click Update to save.  Congratulations your event has been successfully added to our online events calendar.

To Edit or Delete Events
Events are linked to the user who created them.  Before attempting to edit or delete an event make sure you’re logged onto the site using the same screen name used during event creation.  Only users who created an event may modify or delete the entry.

Find an existing event in the calendar and click it.

Sample Event

You will be presented with the Event detail page.  Scroll to the bottom left corner of the event listing and you will be presented with 3 options (Return, Edit and Delete).

•    Return takes you back to the previous screen.
•    Edit take you to the Edit Event wizard so you can make changes.
•    Delete will permanently remove the event from our calendar.  Please be cautious when using this button.  If you created a reoccurring event or an event that spans several days ALL entries could be deleted.

Return Edit Delete

This concludes HOW TO: Create or Modify Calendar Events.  Hopefully we’ve provided you with all of the information you need to effectively add and maintain your event listings.
